Players vs. Environment
For English Learners
Communicate or Fail
5 remote classes | 2 hours each class
$350/student | Max 4 students
You and your classmates are members of a planning committee tasked with maintaining the village. You must negotiate with the villagers (the teacher) to get the resources needed to build a wall, complete quests, and make sure everyone has enough food, armor and tools.
Villagers will be voiced by the teacher who will act as the stone mason, lumberman, fisher, etc. I hold the resources you need. Sometimes the villagers are easy and helpful, and other times you will need to convince them to work with you (ex. the lumberman hates rainy weather).
You can plan with your classmates in your native language but must use a mix of writing and speaking in English to the teacher so you can complete your tasks. In between planning and communicating, we will work together to complete tasks for the village in survival mode.
These include: building a wall, breeding animals, quests to defeat enemies and discover treasure, escort quests to protect weak villagers, etc.
If you fail to organize and communicate effectively, your village may be overrun with pillagers, disease, vermin, or destroyed by bad weather.
"This class was awesome. Both my son and daughter love Caroline. She is super patient and kind. My daughter has terrible anxiety and Caroline was so calm and positive that she loved going to class."
